There are basically two modes of entry into the Programme, subject to the candidate satisfying the university minimum entrance requirement: University Matriculation Examination (UME) and Direct Entry. The requirement for each is as follows:

UME Entry Requirement: To be admitted under this mode, candidates must possess five ‘O’ level credits in English, Mathematics, Economics, plus any one of the following subjects: Accounting, Business Methods, Commerce, Government, Geography and Statistics in Senior Secondary School Certificate (SSSC) or GCE or its equivalent.

Direct Entry: To be admitted under this mode, candidates must possess two ‘A’ level passes which must be in the following subjects: Economics, Accounting, Business Management, Government, Geography or Statistics. In addition, they must possess three ‘O’ level passes which must include English language and Mathematics in SSSE examinations or its equivalent.

Candidates with National Diploma or National Certificate in Education from accredited Polytechnics and Colleges with Upper credit level can be admitted under the direct entry mode. Prospective candidates must in addition possess five ‘O’ Level credit passes which include English Language, Mathematics, Economics, plus any one of Accounting, Business Methods, Commerce and Government, and/or Statistics in SSSE or its equivalent.
