The Department of Management started formally in 1961as one of the departments in the foremost Business Faculty in the Country.   The department was then called Business Administration and offered courses that fall within what is currently known as Management and Marketing disciplines. Students of the department had to major in either of the two disciplinary areas on graduating. It was in 1973 that the two main areas assumed independent status of a department (Department of Management and Department of Marketing) with the current name and compositions.
